Coffee & Friends (Joensuu)

Coffee & Friends is a low-threshold meeting place where University of Eastern Finland students can hang out, drink coffee, and meet other students. You can come alone or with a friend, for a short while or the whole time - participation is free and requires no registration. The cafés also feature a rotating relaxed programme, which is optional to join.

The café meets on Tuesdays between 4 pm and 6 pm from 15 September to 24 November. In Joensuu at Agora café. Note: on 6 October, the café will exceptionally be held at Aurora Takkahuone (AU110). To reach Takkahuone, walk between the Aurora buildings to the inner courtyard, turn left and continue straight to the back of the yard - there is an external door that also leads to Aurora's gym.

The café is run by peer mentors. Support comes from institutional chaplains, the ISYY community coordinator, and UEF's special education teacher. Development ideas and programme suggestions can be sent to the contact information found on ISYY's website.
