Leeni Peltonen has had a long career in magazines - including as editor-in-chief of Kotilieden - and written numerous non-fiction books. Daalioita ja sipulinvarsia is her debut novel, which grew out of her own experiences at the Marjaniemi allotment gardens.

During the event, Peltonen discusses how the story of Iiris Ruususen came to be and what continuation awaits it. She also shares insights into daily life at the allotment gardens and the idyll in the heart of the city.
