Amazing race 2026

Defenssi, OLO and Communica are organizing the Amazing race competition on Tuesday, September 29th starting at 4 PM. The competition is open to all students regardless of year, and teams must have 3-6 members. Participation costs 15 €/team, and only one team member needs to register. Registration opens on Tuesday, September 15th at 12 PM in the kide.app application. 🕛

The start takes place near the library and theatre - teams are sent off one by one, and you can choose your start time during registration. The finish line is located near the city centre, but its exact location is being kept secret for now. The last checkpoint closes at 10 PM.

Checkpoints are spread throughout Oulu, so distances are long and the route is designed to be cycled. If you don't have your own bike, you can ask friends to borrow one - or contact your student organization's event team. 🚴‍♂️

The team that completes the route fastest wins product prizes from Merkkilabra and cinema tickets from Star. The winner will be announced on the student organizations' social media, and the prize can be collected later.

You can register as a checkpoint volunteer for free starting September 14th through a separate registration in the kide.app application. ❗️
