The Mikkeli City Orchestra's In Nature concert is a family-friendly performance exploring nature's elements, beauty, and the importance of conservation. The production weaves together storytelling, science, and education: audiences dive into ocean depths, rise through atmospheric layers, examine bedrock formations, marvel at pollinators, and soar alongside birds.

Composer, lyricist, and arranger Niina Hannula has written music for string orchestra that draws from light vocal music, folk traditions, and modern classical composition enriched with cinematic elements. Nature-inspired lyrics, recorded natural sounds, and the orchestra's created soundscapes complete the experience.
