6.10. Streamed Monologue Series: A Century of Housewives

A three-part streamed monologue series follows the lives of three East Finnish housewives across a century. The performances explore farm life's everyday rhythms, joys and sorrows, as well as the methods, sayings, charms and folk practices of each era - such as ways to improve livestock and harvest. The narrative alternates between humorous and more serious moments. The performance honours these women and their work for rural communities, acknowledging the contributions of the men as well.

Script and stage direction: Kati Ahmaharju. The performances are streamed from Kuopio Museum's multipurpose space, and recordings can be viewed for two weeks after each performance.
