Build Your First Smart Device - 2: Sensors and Smart Lights

This workshop introduces the fundamentals of microcontrollers and IoT (Internet of Things): you'll learn to build simple circuits and program them to control lights and sensors. By the end of the series, you can assemble your own simple smart device. No previous experience needed - curiosity is enough. Participants work in pairs, and bring your own laptop if possible.

Recommended age: 12+. The workshop's main language is English, but you can also communicate with the instructors in Finnish, Vietnamese, and Bengali.

There are only 10 places available - book your spot in advance. You can participate in one or more sessions, but following the series from start to finish is recommended, as the workshops build on each other.

The instructor is Danny Khong, who holds a bachelor's degree in electronics engineering from Metropolia University of Applied Sciences. The assistant instructor is Wayne Brissette, who has over 35 years of experience in the technology sector.
