Author Discussion: What Money Cannot Buy

A discussion of author Ari Hyppölen's debut novel "What Money Cannot Buy" takes place on Wednesday, 23 September, from 6 to 8 p.m. on the Saarikoski mat at Oodi library (3rd floor). The author is interviewed by publisher Vesa Tompuri.

The novel is based on Irina Peshkova's diary and tells the story of Soviet everyday life in higher circles than usual. Irina and Olga become friends in a sandbox, and their lifelong friendship runs parallel to both of their sporting achievements. A turning point comes in autumn 1977 in Turin, at the youth European championship in artistic gymnastics.

Hyppölen has previously published his autobiography independently. The event is organized by author Ari Hyppölen.
