What is the Future of Rojava's Revolution in al-Shara, Syria?

Lecture and discussion on the current state of Rojava's revolution in al-Shara, Syria. Northeastern Syria's democratic self-administration is being integrated into the Syrian state - a region where, over fifteen years, society has been built on the foundations of democracy, equal coexistence of peoples, and women's rights. After Ahmed al-Shara came to power through a coup, the future of the region's women and religious and ethnic minorities remains uncertain.

Three Finns who travelled to Northeastern Syria in June will share their experiences, including meetings with a diplomat involved in negotiations with al-Shara, a YPJ commander, representatives from councils and communes, mediators from justice committees, women's organizations, and the leadership of Rojava University. Following the lecture, there will be an open discussion on the topic.
