Bird Walk to Alakivenpuisto

Myllypuro Library organizes a bird walk to Alakivenpuisto, where you can get to know the local birds. The guide is a field leader from Tringa - the Helsinki region ornithological society.

During the two-hour walk, you will observe the park's urban birds and those in the surrounding area: gulls, woodpeckers, pigeons, tits, thrushes, corvids and sparrows - and autumn may bring surprises. On the walk, you will learn to identify birds by their appearance, calls and behavior, and discover what bird life is like in the city during different seasons.

The walk is suitable for everyone interested, including beginners - no previous bird-watching experience is needed. Bring weather-appropriate clothing and binoculars if you wish, but owning binoculars is not required.

Free entry, no advance registration needed. Departure from the library. Weather permitting; any cancellation will be announced by 7.10 at 18:00.
