Lapikas Autumn Hike 2026

Lapikas sports coordinators have organized an autumn hike that has become a tradition - this year the route takes you through Oulanka National Park and the small Bear Trail.

The route is a 12-kilometer loop that takes approximately 3-5 hours to complete. Luontoon.fi classifies the trail as challenging due to its length and elevation changes, but we hike in groups and take breaks. A positive attitude and sturdy shoes are all you need. During the hike we stop at a shelter where you can warm your packed lunch over an open fire - there is no opportunity to buy food in the area, so bring everything you need.

Departure is Sunday, October 4 at 8:00 from the university, from where a bus will take you to the parking area in Juuma. The return journey starts from the same location at 18:00, and the bus will be back at the university grounds by 21:00. Binding registration takes place on Monday, September 21 at 14:00 in the Kide.app by claiming a free ticket. The hike costs 25 €, which includes bus rides and a badge.
