October's film club selection is Thursday's daytime screening of The Lift to the Slaughterhouse (5 € admission). Florence and her lover Julien plan to murder Florence's husband and stage it as suicide - until Julien gets trapped in the lift and the entire scheme unravels. Louis Malle's thriller is an Oscar-nominated film starring Jeanne Moreau with an original score by Miles Davis. The film is considered one of the foundational works of the French New Wave.

The film club is open to everyone and membership is free with no obligations - members are not registered. When buying a ticket, you receive a club card where watched films are recorded; a full card entitles you to one free film club screening.
