Yle Live: hooligans, celebrities and the superpower of kindness
Eight Yle journalists take the stage at Rytmikorjaamo: Aino "Aikku" Silkelä, Mikael Salmelainen, Pyry Vaismaa, Jenni Matikainen, Charlotte Lindberg, Ilmari Reunamäki, Saku Manneh and Päivi Rautanen. The evening covers topics including the line between football hooliganism and passionate fandom, how celebrities are built on social media, the power to define news, a day in Donald Trump's White House, and kindness as a superpower. The programme is part of Yle's 100th anniversary celebrations.
Before the evening show, from 1 pm to 5 pm, YleX Afternoon's Aikku and Mellu will bring their radio studio to Restaurant Varicko - you can watch the live broadcast being made, and entry to this part is free.
Tickets available at the door, subject to availability. The ticket price includes a 2 euro service charge. Credit cards are the only accepted payment method at Rytmikorjaamo club. More information about the event: info@selmu.fi. Ticket matters: hei@tiketti.fi.
Accessibility: the event is wheelchair accessible, with an accessible toilet and wheelchair ramp on site, and an assistant enters free with the assisted person's ticket. Access routes are barrier-free. Wheelchair users are directed to the ramp if desired; at unnumbered seated concerts, seating is freely chosen.
An environmental ticket donation of +3 euros goes in full to the Finnish Heritage Foundation's Rytmikorjaamo Forest collection, which aims to find and protect a nature reserve in the Selmu activity area in South Ostrobothnia.
