Opening of the Reflector Tree at the Library

The opening of Karkkila's reflector tree takes place at the library entrance on Thursday, October 1st at 6 p.m. The chair of the municipal council, Satu Ahjoniemi, will declare the tree open, and the rest of the evening's programme will be confirmed closer to the event.\n\nNational Reflector Day is celebrated every year on October 1st. Karkkila's reflector tree is a joint project of the Mannerheim League for Child Welfare (MLL) Karkkila association and the city, maintained in cooperation with the daytime activities of Högfors, which operates under the Western Uusimaa Wellbeing Area (LUVN).\n\nReflectors are hung on the branches of a large maple tree in front of the library. Anyone can leave spare reflectors on the tree - and if you've forgotten your reflector at home, you can pick one from the tree for yourself.
