About the venue

Aboa Vetus Ars Nova is a twin museum on the banks of the Aura river in Turku. Beneath the building lie excavated ruins of a medieval town quarter, uncovered during construction work in the 1990s, while the Ars Nova side hosts changing exhibitions of modern and contemporary art. The combination of archaeology and fine art under one roof makes it one of the more distinctive museum spaces in Finland.
