Blood Red Throne is a Norwegian death metal band from Kristiansand, founded in 1998 by guitarist Daniel "Død" Olaisen during his time as a live guitarist for Satyricon. Alongside co-founder Tchort (Emperor), they built one of Norway's most consistent death metal acts, drawing on Florida death metal while keeping a distinctly Scandinavian edge. Twelve studio albums in, the band shows no sign of slowing - their latest record Siltskin arrived in December 2025 on Soulseller Records.
Blood Red Throne released their 12th studio album Siltskin on December 5, 2025 via Soulseller Records.
No Clean Singing published a review of Siltskin in February 2026, calling the band one of death metal's most reliable acts twelve albums into their career.
Blood Red Throne joined the Freedom or Death 2026 tour with Havok, playing 15 concerts across 7 countries.
The band played the 70000 Tons of Metal cruise for the second time in 2024 and was confirmed for the 2025 edition.
In a January 2026 interview, founder Daniel Olaisen revealed the band played in 25 different countries in 2024 alone, including being the first Norwegian rock/metal band to perform in Mongolia.
