About

Isoviha is an opera created for the 50th anniversary of the Ilmajoki Music Festival. It depicts the Russian invasion of Ostrobothnia - family bonds, a mother's love and resilience during a time of destruction along the Kyrönjoki river. The libretto is by Anneli Kanto, the music by Uljas Pulkkis, and the production is directed by Tuomas Parkkinen.
