Juanes (Juan Esteban Aristizábal Vásquez, born 1972 in Medellín, Colombia) is a singer-songwriter and guitarist who built his career fusing rock with Colombian folk rhythms such as vallenato and cumbia. He has collected 29 combined Grammy and Latin Grammy Awards from a record 49 nominations as a solo artist, and holds two of Billboard's all-time Top-5 Latin Pop Songs. Beyond music, he runs the Mi Sangre Foundation, which supports landmine victims and youth peacebuilding in Colombia.
