MIKKELIN KAUPUNGINORKESTERI: BIG BANG BIG BAND - 80's

Mikkeli City Orchestra and Savonlinna Big Band bring their traditional New Year's concert to the mikaeli concert and congress hall on Wednesday, 30 December 2026. This year's theme is the 1980s: conductor Ville Karjalainen has arranged the decade's most celebrated hits for a large entertainment orchestra. Vocalists Nina Tapio and Antti Koivula take the stage as soloists. The orchestra has performed several concerts in Mikkeli throughout the year, and this New Year's evening marks the culmination of the series, presenting 80s classics in a festive setting.
