About

Käärijä (born Jere Pöyhönen, 21 October 1993, Helsinki) is a Finnish rapper, singer and songwriter who grew up in Vantaa. He built a following through energetic live shows and a string of Finnish-language rap releases before representing Finland at the Eurovision Song Contest 2023 with 'Cha Cha Cha' - finishing second overall but winning the public televote across Europe. The song became the first Finnish-language track ever to reach the UK Singles Chart top 10, and topped charts in Finland, Sweden, Latvia and Lithuania.
