About

Kai Hahto (born 31 December 1973 in Vaasa) is a Finnish drummer best known as the permanent drummer of Nightwish since 2019, having first stepped in for the band in 2014. He co-founded Wintersun in 2004 and has recorded or toured with Swallow the Sun, Rotten Sound, Trees of Eternity and Auri, making him one of the most versatile figures in Finnish heavy metal.

    Hahto recorded drums for the third AURI album at Petrax studios in Hollola and was confirmed to join the band's subsequent tour.

    Hahto took his solo 'Alone' drum show on a 10-date European tour, running from London at the end of March to Hamburg in April 2025.
