Kasmir is the stage name of Thomas Kirjonen (born 27 March 1985 in Espoo), a Finnish pop and R&B singer, songwriter and record producer. He broke through in 2014 with the debut single "Vadelmavene", which topped the Finnish Singles Chart, and his debut album AMK Dropout made history as the first album in Finland to earn a gold certification based entirely on streams and downloads. After years with Universal Music, he signed to the new independent label FRD Records in 2024 and released a run of new singles, marking a decade of solo work.
Kasmir signed to the newly founded FRD Records label and released his comeback single "Kukat" on 26 April 2024.
Kasmir celebrated the 10th anniversary of his debut album AMK Dropout with a special concert at Kulttuuritehdas Korjaamo on 18 May 2024.
Kasmir released multiple singles in 2024 including "Pilvenreunalla" and "Rakasta mua", continuing his comeback run on FRD Records.
A new Kasmir album was announced, to be released on FRD Records, with production from Hank Solo, Jonas Karlsson, Vilma Alina and others.
