Kauko Röyhkä (born Jukka-Pekka Välimaa, 12 February 1959, Valkeakoski) is a Finnish rock musician, author and screenwriter who has been active since 1980. He has released over 23 studio albums and is widely regarded as one of Finland's strongest rock lyricists, with two albums - Maa on voimaa and Pikku enkeli - on Soundi magazine's all-time list of the 50 greatest Finnish pop albums. Alongside his music career he has written ten novels and short story collections, screenplays for four films, and numerous columns and reviews. Röyhkeät is his current live backing band, focusing on the classic 1980s catalogue.
