Kotiteollisuus is a Finnish heavy metal band formed in Lappeenranta in 1991, built around the core trio of vocalist-guitarist Jouni "Welho" Hynynen, bassist Janne Hongisto and drummer Jari Sinkkonen. Known for dark, poetic Finnish-language lyrics and a raw, heavy sound, the band broke through to the top of the Finnish albums chart with Helvetistä itään (2003), which also won the Emma Award for Best Metal Album that year. With over a dozen studio albums spanning nearly three decades - the latest being Susirajalla (2024) - Kotiteollisuus remains one of the most respected names in Finnish rock.
