Maarit Hurmerinta is a Finnish pop singer who launched her career in 1972. She is known for hits such as "Jäätelökesä" and "Lainaa vain", and was the first woman in popular music to receive Finland's State Prize for Music. She now regularly performs alongside her husband Sami Hurmerinta.
