Tuure Kilpeläinen (born 1970, Uusikaupunki) is a Finnish singer-songwriter who has released over ten albums - both as a solo artist and with his world-music-inflected band Kaihon Karavaani. His music draws on old soul, blues, rock 'n' roll, folk and country-rooted songwriting, and he has written songs for artists including Jonna Tervomaa, Anna Puu and Vesa-Matti Loiri. Over a career spanning more than two decades he has earned five gold records, three platinum records, multiple Emma Awards and the Iskelmä-Finlandia prize in 2023.
Kilpeläinen released his new album 'Odotin näpyä, tuli laaka' on 10 October 2025 via Has Been Music, followed by a release tour starting in Helsinki.
The single 'Ikipuut' was released in August 2025 as the lead single ahead of the October album.
The album 'Odotin näpyä, tuli laaka' contains eleven tracks co-composed by Kilpeläinen and Julius Sihvonen, drawing on soul, blues, rock 'n' roll, country, folk and singer-songwriter tradition.
Kilpeläinen received the Iskelmä-Finlandia Award in summer 2023.
His previous album 'Sanat jää ilmaan' was released in autumn 2023, ahead of a 13-city release tour with his new band Kaiffarit.
