Machines (2016) is an Indian documentary directed by Rahul Jain, filmed inside a textile factory in Gujarat. With almost no narration or interviews, it observes the gruelling manual labour through long, quiet takes. The film won the best documentary award at the IDFA festival in Amsterdam in 2016.
