Author Visit: Juha Hurme and Anni Polva

Juha Hurme's examination of Anni Polva's life and works is a one-hour presentation combining lecture, comedy, and theatre. It is based on Hurme's book "Finland's Most Beaten Woman" (2025, Teos).

At the heart of the presentation are the remarkable turns in Polva's life and the paradox of her literary output: during her lifetime, Anni Polva was simultaneously Finland's most read and most criticized author. Following the presentation, there will be time for audience questions and discussion.

The lecture takes place in the hospital auditorium at Sairaalantie 11. The event is organized by Jämsä Main Library.
