Mark Boals (born 1958, Youngstown, Ohio) is an American heavy metal and neoclassical metal singer who rose to prominence as the lead vocalist on Yngwie Malmsteen's platinum-selling 1986 album Trilogy. Over a career spanning more than four decades he has contributed vocals to over 40 albums, working with artists including Uli Jon Roth, Royal Hunt and Dokken, and founded the progressive metal band Ring of Fire. He is currently the permanent frontman of Finnish melodic hard rock band Circus of Rock.
Circus of Rock, with Boals as permanent frontman, released their third album Hellfire worldwide on June 30, 2025 via Lions Pride Music.
Boals confirmed he is working on a new Ring of Fire album and tour planned for 2026, and a new collaborative project with Olaf Thorsen of Vision Divine.
Boals joined Royal Hunt as guest vocalist for two summer festival appearances - Leyendas Del Rock in Spain and Jailbreak Festival in Copenhagen.
Boals officially joined Circus of Rock as a permanent full-time member, converting the Finnish studio project into a touring band.
