Asema elää! 2026
A two-day music festival at Petäjävesi's old station warehouse featuring indie-folk, surf rock and soul-influenced music from artists including Mary Ann Hawkins, Rebekka Holi and Samae Koskinen.
Mary Ann Hawkins is a five-piece surf rock band from Helsinki, Finland. They blend classic rautalanka guitar tones with cinematic, spaghetti-western atmospheres and a dash of Finnish melancholy - mostly instrumental, but with a knack for wild, sweat-soaked live shows. Their debut self-titled album came out in 2022 on Svart Records to strong reviews at home and abroad, and the follow-up 'Helsinki Surf City' (February 2025) pushed the sound further by bringing in guest vocalists from the Finnish music scene.
Mary Ann Hawkins released their second album 'Helsinki Surf City' on 7 February 2025 via Svart Records, featuring twelve tracks and guest appearances from Finnish artists Stepa, Marko Haavisto, Maria Stereo and Minja Koski.
The band launched a Finnish tour in support of 'Helsinki Surf City', with dates in Seinäjoki, Tampere, Turku, Helsinki, Lahti, Jyväskylä, Hämeenlinna, Oulu and Kuopio.
The band released the single 'Beatlesin viisaat sanat' featuring Finnish rapper Stepa in November 2024, ahead of the album.
Mary Ann Hawkins performed at G Livelab in Helsinki in August 2024.
The band played Ilosaarirock festival in Joensuu in July 2024.
