Meiju Suvas (born 22 January 1959 in Helsinki) is a Finnish pop and iskelmä singer who broke through in 1982 with the chart-topping single "Tahdon sinut" and the debut album Meiju, which sold over 54,000 copies. Over a career spanning more than four decades she has released 13 studio albums, earned four gold and two platinum records, and remains one of Finland's most active live performers. Her 1992 hit "Pure mua" - a Finnish-language cover of Lalo Rodríguez's "Ven, devórame otra vez" - became one of her signature songs and is still a staple of her live shows.
