Marita Taavitsainen is a Finnish schlager and tango singer who was crowned Tango Queen in 1995. Her breakthrough came in 1998 when the song Andre won the Syksyn Sävel competition, and the album Salainen puutarha went platinum in under two months. She has received the Emma Award for Female Soloist of the Year and the Iskelmä Finlandia prize.
