Minja Koski (born 1982 in Kuhmo) is a Finnish singer-songwriter and actress who releases music under the name M. Since her 2017 debut Tehtaantyttö - which Soundi rated five stars and MTV named the best Finnish album of the year - she has built a catalogue of five studio albums blending electropop with folk-tinged storytelling and a minimalist sound. Her work has earned Emma and Teosto award nominations, and she performs live as a five-piece band.
Soundi reported that M is working on her sixth studio album, with a second single already released ahead of the record.
Koski appeared on the collaborative album Valmistaudu rauhaan, a tribute to singer Liisa Tavi released by Texicalli Records on 1 August 2025.
Koski, Mikael Saari and Lumos-kvartetti released Göstan parhaat, a new-arrangement album of Leevi and the Leavings songs, on 6 September 2024.
M released her fifth studio album Mustarastaat tulivat, written and composed entirely by Koski and thematically centred on death and ancient beliefs.
M's fourth album Lauluja 1960-luvulta, a cover album of Finnish schlager classics, was released on 25 March 2022 and received an Emma nomination in the iskelmä category.
