Nicko McBrain (born Michael Henry McBrain, 5 June 1952, Hackney, London) is the drummer of British heavy metal band Iron Maiden, which he joined in 1982 after earlier stints with Streetwalkers, Pat Travers and Trust. He appeared on 14 of the band's studio albums and performed in over 1,900 shows, becoming one of the most influential drummers in heavy metal history. In December 2024 he retired from touring with Iron Maiden following a stroke in January 2023, though he remains a member of the band for studio work.
