Paleface, born Karri Pekka Matias Miettinen on 21 April 1978, is a Finnish rapper and one of the founding figures of Finnish-language hip hop. His 2001 debut The Pale Ontologist established him on the domestic scene, but it was the 2010 album Helsinki-Shangri-La - his first recorded entirely in Finnish - that brought him to a wide audience, went platinum and earned him three Emma awards. His music blends political hip hop, folk influences and sharp social commentary, and he remains an active voice in Finnish public debate.
Paleface is scheduled to perform at Tavastia in Helsinki in August 2025 with his live band Räjähtävä Nyrkki.
