Pasi Rantanen (born 1969, Helsinki) is a Finnish heavy metal vocalist best known as the founding singer of Thunderstone, the Helsinki power metal band he fronted from 2000 to 2007 and again from 2013 onwards. With Thunderstone he recorded five studio albums, including the 2016 comeback record Apocalypse Again, and contributed to several Finnish chart hits. Outside the band he has sung backing vocals on releases by Stratovarius, Kotipelto and Ari Koivunen, and appeared as a masked backing vocalist at Lordi's Eurovision 2006 performance.
Thunderstone's comeback album Apocalypse Again, featuring Rantanen's return as vocalist, entered the Finnish albums chart at number 5.
Apocalypse Again, Thunderstone's sixth studio album and Rantanen's first recording with the band since 2007, was released on 23 March 2016 via Sakara Records.
Rantanen rejoined Thunderstone as full-time vocalist after a six-year absence, replacing Rick Altzi.
