Philip Sheegog is an American cellist, producer, and educator based in New York City, best known as co-founder of the Grammy Award-winning electroacoustic duo ARKAI alongside violinist Jonathan Miron. Both trained at The Juilliard School, where they met in 2018 and formed the group. ARKAI's sophomore album Brightside won Best Contemporary Instrumental Album at the 68th Grammy Awards in 2026 - a record Sheegog engineered, produced, and mixed himself in his New York apartment. Beyond ARKAI, he has premiered over 80 works by living composers and teaches at Juilliard's Pre-College Division and Fordham University.
