Pojat is a ramopunk band from Tampere, founded in 1989 under the name Ne Pojat by Miika Söderholm and Mikko Holmström - both veterans of the late-1970s punk outfit Ypö-Viis. Originally built around Finnish-language covers of The Boys and The Ramones, the band quickly developed its own songwriting voice and debuted on record in 1990. Their 1992 single 'Pasi Virtanen' hit number one on the Finnish singles chart, and together with Ne Luumäet and Luonteri Surf they are considered the founding trio of the Finnish ramopunk genre. With nine studio albums spanning over three decades, Pojat remain one of the most enduring acts in Finnish punk.
Pojat released a new 7-inch single 'Kuka sä oot / Elämä on Punk' on Midsummer's Eve 2025, with the A-side being a cover of a Pelle Miljoona song from 2009.
Pojat co-headlined a Finnish tour with British punk originators The Boys (UK) in October 2024.
The band released their ninth studio album 'Nämä ajat' on 15 September 2023, receiving four stars from Finnish music magazine Soundi.
Pojat are scheduled to perform at the Punk ja Yäk festival Helsinki edition at Kulttuuritehdas Korjaamo on 25 September 2026.
