About

Säilä is a Helsinki art rock band formed in 2021, built around vocalist-bassist Emma Porthan, keyboardist Pessi Heiskanen, guitarist Oskari Leikos and drummer Asla Heiskanen - with saxophonist Maiju Pihlava joining occasionally. The band writes and arranges everything themselves, pulling from rock, pop, prog, jazz and folk without settling into any single genre. Their debut album 'Asiaa ja fantasiaa' came out in March 2026 through Mimmi Label, where Säilä became the first band on the roster.
