Silent Planet is an American metalcore band from Los Angeles, California, formed in 2009. Led by vocalist Garrett Russell, the band is known for lyrics that tackle mental health, global crises and philosophical questions - drawing on a range from quiet post-rock atmosphere to full-force metalcore. Their name references C. S. Lewis' novel Out of the Silent Planet, and their five studio albums, from The Night God Slept (2014) to SUPERBLOOM (2023), have cemented them as one of the genre's most intellectually ambitious acts.
