About

SONICO is an ensemble dedicated to reviving the work of Argentine composer Eduardo Rovira (1925-1980), who pushed tango toward contemporary art music and avant-garde alongside Astor Piazzolla in 1950s and 60s Buenos Aires. The group has carried out extensive archival research to recover Rovira's lost compositions and presents them in multimedia performances combining music, video art and narration.
