Svengaavat Hirvet is a children's music orchestra based in Espoo, run by the city library's music educators Lauri Iljin and Sakari Heikka (alongside colleagues Elina and Timo). The ensemble plays well-known children's songs and turns each concert into a hands-on session where kids sing, dance and play along - making it as much participation as performance.
Svengaavat Hirvet performed a 'Friendship Concert' (Ystävyyskonsertti) at Sello library in Espoo on 28 April 2026.
Registration opened in January 2026 for the orchestra's themed Friendship Concert series at Espoo libraries, aimed at early childhood education groups.
The orchestra performed a full autumn 2025 circuit across five Espoo library branches, from September through November.
