The Magic Flute is an opera by Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart, premiered in Vienna in 1791, and one of the most performed operas in the world. It follows Prince Tamino as he seeks to rescue Pamina and faces trials of wisdom and darkness. The score ranges from simple folk-like tunes to demanding coloratura arias, the most famous being the Queen of the Night's high-flying showpiece.
