Whitney Houston (1963-2012) was an American pop and R&B singer who rose to global fame in the 1980s. Known for her powerful voice and wide vocal range, she became one of the best-selling music artists of all time. Her recording of "I Will Always Love You" for the film The Bodyguard (1992) remains one of the best-selling singles ever.
