Woodkid is the stage name of Yoann Lemoine (born 1983, Lyon), a French singer-songwriter, composer and visual artist whose music blends orchestral arrangements with electronic production. He first made his name directing videos for Katy Perry, Lana Del Rey and Harry Styles before releasing his debut album The Golden Age (2013), which went platinum in France. Beyond his own records, he has composed for the Netflix series Arcane, the Paris 2024 Olympic handover ceremony, and Hideo Kojima's video game Death Stranding 2: On the Beach (2025).
Woodkid released his 16-track album 'Woodkid for Death Stranding 2: On the Beach' on June 13, 2025, via Milan Records/Sony Masterworks, featuring collaborations with Elle Fanning and Bryce Dessner.
The first single from the Death Stranding 2 project, 'To the Wilder', was released on March 9, 2025, and surpassed 3.7 million streams worldwide.
Woodkid appeared at a dedicated Death Stranding 2 panel at SXSW in March 2025 alongside director Hideo Kojima and actors Norman Reedus and Troy Baker.
Woodkid contributed the track 'To Ashes and Blood' to Arcane Season 2 on Netflix, following his 'Guns for Hire' contribution to Season 1.
Woodkid won the 2023 Sacem Award for the most exported French artist.
