About

XL5 is a Finnish pop group from Hyvinkää, founded in 1996 and produced by Kristian Maukonen. The band became the first Finnish act to trigger full-scale boy-band hysteria, selling over 50,000 copies of their two albums and scoring one of the decade's biggest domestic pop hits with the debut single 'Kaunis peto'. The original five-piece - Mika Ikonen, Pete Tolonen, Jake Jokivalli, Elo Eloranta and Jami Jaakkola - was joined in autumn 1996 by Toni 'Tontsa' Uotila, who stayed until the band's last show in 1998.
