XL5 - A POPULAR 1990S BOY BAND AT HOUSE OF OLAF Saturday 25.7.2026!

XL5 was founded in 1996 and was the most successful Finnish boy band of the 1990s. The band released two albums - Pedon merkki (1996) and Jäätä ja tulta (1997) - which together sold over 50,000 copies. The single "Kaunis peto" became one of the biggest pop hits of 1990s Finland.

The original lineup consisted of Mika Ikonen, Pete Tolonen, Jake Jokivalli, Elo Eloranta, and Jami Jaakkola. In autumn 1996, Jami Jaakkola was replaced by Toni "Tontsa" Uotila. XL5 last performed in 1998 with this five-member lineup - but now an additional member will be on stage as Jami returns as well.

Next year marks 30 years since XL5's founding. To celebrate, the band released a new version of the mega-hit "Kaunis peto" on November 28. During summer 2026, the band will perform at festivals. What makes this comeback historic is that for the first time ever, all six members who have ever been part of XL5 will stand together on stage.
