Valonhuoma Exhibition

The Valonhuoma exhibition showcases artist portraits taken by lighting designer Jari Koskela (born 1975) from 2011 to 2024. The photographs were taken at Helsinki city venues - Savoy Theatre, Malmitalo, and Vuotalo - and alongside the artists, concert lighting is a central theme.

Koskela explains that he originally shot the exhibition's 25 photographs as reference images for concert lighting design. The underlying question has always been the same: how can music best be illustrated visually?

The photographs feature, among others, Irina Björklund, Linda Lampenius, Antti Reini, Atomirotta, 22-Pistepirkko, Jussi & The Boys, and John Paul Jones.

The exhibition is on display on the second floor of Pasila Library from June 2 to July 30.
