Raimo Lehtomaa - Basic Patterns
Arabianrannan kirjasto, Helsinki
ilmainen
Helsinki-based visual artist Raimo Lehtomaa exhibits at Arabiarannan Library from June 3 to July 31, 2026. The works often consist of thin, translucent layers of color that blend into each other. The image surface is divided into several parts, where dark-light contrast, broken tones and the interaction of colors alternate.
The images are created subconsciously. They contain figures or creatures, shapes reminiscent of organic and human reality, but without being too clear references to the surrounding reality.
Lehtomaa studied at Kankaanpää Art School and Lahti Institute of Design. He primarily uses acrylic painting, ink and mixed media. He has held numerous solo exhibitions and participated in dozens of group exhibitions in Finland and abroad. The exhibition is organized in collaboration with the Helsinki Artists' Association.
