In the work Trajectories, Gabriella Presnal examines weaving from a queer-spatial perspective. She uses broken electrical cords and self-taught basket-weaving techniques to transform a two-dimensional landscape into three-dimensional spaces.

The work's conceptual foundation rests on the ideas of Deleuze and Guattari: in their work A Thousand Plateaus (1980), weaving is defined as the most striated - that is, the most controlled and most measured - form of nomadic art, where within the bounds of a tightly woven square there is no room to breathe. The sculptures aim to restore this striation and transform it into something smooth or nomadic, creating cracks where spatial tensions emerge.

MUU Ikkuna is a window exhibition space located in Jätkäsaari, opening onto the corner of Välimerenkatu and Messitytönkuja. The opening takes place on 4.6.2026 from 17.00 to 18.00. The exhibition runs from 4.6 to 30.8.2026, open 24 hours, free admission.
