Annantalo presents Helsinki Day with music, theatre and art workshops for the whole family from morning to evening. Free admission to all activities.

Päistikka Orchestra concert - 9.30 and 10.45, A-stage (indoors in Annansali if rainy)

The concert takes the audience on adventures into the world of imagination - robot disco, monster hop and audience participation await. Performers: Tuukka Martiskainen (vocals, ukulele, samples), Elina Vehkaoja (vocals, keyboards), Erno Kettunen (guitar, trumpet) and Juhani Saari (bass). Duration: 30 min. Age recommendation: 1+. Open art workshop: Living Helsinki - 10-15, front courtyard (indoors if rainy)

The workshop explores the nature around Annantalo and observes small organisms. Inspired by the Manifest of the Animal Kingdom, participants paint with nature's colours - the manifest can be viewed in Annantalo's foyer. Facilitators: Marjut Maristo and Heli Niska. Free and open to all ages.

Picnic concert: Valtuutetut duo - 12-12.30, A-stage

Helsinki city councillors Nora Grotenfelt and Antti Vuorela perform children's songs in Swedish and Finnish. Bring your own snacks and picnic blankets!

Stella Polaris: Magical Journey - 15.30 and 18.00

In Stella Polaris' improvised family performance, children can influence the story's direction and characters. Actors, a musician and a lighting designer build the performance based on audience suggestions, so each show is unique. Age recommendation: 6+. Duration: approximately 45 min. Language: Finnish.
